Terra thaï

where the journey of a lifetime begins.

Our story

Terra Thai was born from a dream: to create a unique place in Quebec dedicated to the authentic transmission of Thai massage. Inspired by the millennia-old richness of this practice and aware of the lack of retreat spaces for specialized training in the province, we wanted to build a space for rejuvenation in nature, learning and sharing in a community.

Terra Thai aims to be a bridge between tradition and modernity, a sanctuary where one can deepen their knowledge of Thai massage, both technically and spiritually. It is a place for enthusiasts, practitioners seeking mastery, or simply those who wish to reconnect with themselves through the art of conscious touch. Our mission: to elevate the practice of Thai massage in Quebec, honoring its roots and supporting a vibrant community of dedicated therapists.

Marie Dumont

Co-founder & teacher

I have over thirty years of professional experience in the fields of bodywork, movement and teaching.

Having first graduated from the University of Montreal in Biological Sciences, my passion for the human body and its functioning led me to study movement and physical performance at the Jacques Lecoq International Theatre School in Paris.

After living in Australia for 15 years and traveling to India, Japan, and Thailand, among other places, I became interested in the connection between body, mind, and spirit, and began practicing yoga and meditation. Returning to Quebec in 2013, I discovered Thai Yoga Massage and completed my full training at the Lotus Palm School in Montreal. I then deepened my knowledge by studying dynamic Thai massage and Osteo-Thai* with David Lutt, Osteopath, at the Sunshine School in Chiang Mai, Thailand, as well as in France, Greece, and Croatia.

I have been teaching Thai massage at the Lotus Palm Centre in Montreal since 2017 (and have also taught anatomy and physiology there).

I am also a certified Senior Massage Therapist.

* Osteo-Thai (where Thai massage meets osteopathy) uses osteopathic principles during a Thai massage. It is a gentle and profound technique that combines the ancestral know-how of Thai massage with the osteopathic approach to the body.

Maude Kneppert

Co-founder and teacher

My journey began in the arts with studies in theatre and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Concordia University, where I studied the artistic anatomy of the human body. Following this, I trained in India in therapeutic yoga, where I discovered Vipassana meditation, which continues to guide my inner practice.

Back in Quebec, I completed my training at Lotus Palm and continued my studies in Europe with David Lutt.

My studies in osteopathy (IEOQ 2024-2025) and my exploration of the Osteothai approach demonstrate my commitment to deepening and updating my understanding of the body as a whole.

I teach and practice with the sincere desire to cultivate metta (kindness) in every gesture, in a spirit of mindfulness.

I now live in Gaspésie and am driven by the dream of offering nature retreats to merge my love for the outdoors and Thai massage.

Mirabai

Co-founder & teacher

Mariana Mosca grew up in a family steeped in yogic tradition and has practiced yoga her entire life. She has been teaching for 25 years and shares her expertise in yoga teacher trainings around the world. Her soothing voice has guided thousands of students toward greater body awareness, deep relaxation, and a connection to their inner selves.

Mirabai is also a therapist and teacher of Thai massage. She began this practice in 2007 and became a close disciple of Master Kam Thye Chow. She considers this unique massage technique an extension of her yoga practice, with the aim of helping others alleviate their pain and reconnect with their own source of healing.

For the past three years, Mirabai has practiced Osteothai, a wonderful discipline that combines the knowledge of osteopathy with the art of Thai massage. She has also had the honor of learning from several Thai massage masters in Thailand.

In addition to her extensive knowledge of yoga, Mirabai holds a degree in psychology, which gives her a particular sensitivity and depth in conveying her passion for yoga and Thai massage.
